
The Magic Dutchpot– Angie plays Tola, the sister of Shola who desperately wants to leave her village and find a handsome Prince and live happily ever after. Low and behold, a handsome prince visits her village as he is looking for a homely girl. He'll provide his wife with cleaners, dressers, someone to look after the kids etc etc. He'll even provide a cook, but this special homely girl must have a special homely touch - she MUST be able to cook his favourite Patties. Tola is never around when you need her(!), and one day on her travels she finds a Dutch pot that can cook all by itself. Her aim is to get it to Shola asap, but she is unaware that the wicked witch (Gina Yashere), saw Tola with the pot, and knows what it can do, and wants this pot for her niece.
Independent Black Woman – Marcia is a 30 something black woman looking for the love of a black man but can’t seem to find anyone on her level. She meets Carl a mechanic and 4 months into their relationship she gets promoted leaving Carl feeling underrated. He tries to become a singer to make quick money to reach her level – but he can’t sing!! Her best friend Jackie hates Carl, and revels in joy when Marcia’s finds out that she’s pregnant. This is Jackie’s chance to give Carl a mouthful. Marcia gets friendly with boss Gareth DeMournier leaving Carl feeling worse than ever. Jackie spills the beans to Carl about Marcia’s pregnancy before Marcia can announce that it’s a false alarm. After unravelling all the drama, Marcia realises that her job and her home life are 2 different things and she lives happily ever after with Carl – who still can’t sing.
